What is Canvas? Canvas is a Learning Management System (LMS) that simplifies teaching and learning activities and organizes student coursework in an online environment.
Canvas enables students to:
Connect and communicate with teachers in enrolled courses
Keep track of assignments due and access organized class materials by course
Submit online work in a variety of ways and see teacher feedback
A self-paced Canvas course has been created for Elementary and Secondary students in order to provide guidance on how students access course content within Canvas as well as information regarding proper online etiquette.
By the end of this course, students will understand how to care for technology, account safety, navigating the Canvas dashboard, using the Canvas inbox, how to generate pairing codes, navigating modules and the calendar, different types of Canvas assignments, and key aspects of digital citizenship.

Canvas is a Learning Management System (LMS) that all 2nd-12th grade teachers will use to deliver instruction to NNPS students. Teachers can post learning materials, facilitate discussions, create assignments and so much more!
Canvas allows students to:
Connect and communicate with teachers in enrolled courses
Keep track of assignments due and access organized class materials by course
Submit online work in a variety of ways and see teacher feedback
Students can access Canvas from any school's homepage.
Go to your school's homepage
Select "Students"
Select "Clever-Canvas & more"
Log in using your NNPS Google account
Then click the "Canvas LMS" Icon
After logging into Clever, click Canvas LMS.
Global Navigation: Quick access to frequently used Canvas features including links to your Dashboard, Course Courses, Calendar, Inbox, and Help.
Dashboard: High level overview of all courses. Course cards can include course activities on the tabs.
Side bar: This area includes a To Do list, Coming Up feed, Recent Feedback, and Grades.
Modules are how teachers deliver and assess content within a course in Canvas. Each icon indicates a type of learning within Canvas.

The Calendar spans all courses and displays information for each of your enrolled courses. Each icon indicates a type of learning within Canvas.

To edit your contact information, sign in to your Canvas account and click on the "Account" icon on the left navigation bar. Then, click "Settings." This is the means of communication used when receiving Notifications from Canvas, so be sure it is correct and updated.
2. On the right side, look for the Ways to Contact section. Any contact information you have provided will be listed here. You can also add additional information such as your mobile number or a personal email. This will allow you to get notifications sent to those accounts.
3. Click +Email Address or +Contact Method to register a new email or mobile number. Enter information carefully and accurately. When you are done, click the blue Register button and follow the steps to confirm your account. Clicking the star next to an email will make it the default email for your account. Clicking the trash can will delete it.
