Ms. Poe's class

Welcome to Civics and Economics!

CIVICS AND ECONOMICS SYLLABUS.docx

My name is Ms. Poe and I have been teaching Civics and Economics at BTW for 14 years now. This class is different from your US History I and II classes in that we study concepts not dates and events. The focus is on our government on the national, state and local levels and how it relates to you as a citizen. In this class we will discuss - citizenship, foundations of American government, elections with political parties, and the court system. The last unit in the class is dedicated to Economics. Economics will include vocabulary, types of economies, business types, the Federal Reserve, and money. (see Syllabus on the left side of this page.)

Remember, we are currently using Zoom and Canvas, but if it seems like the systems are down. Please check your student/parent email first, and then head to this site. It will be filed under the month of occurrence.
