About the Teacher

After graduating from Vanderbilt University in Mechanical Engineering I worked as a Powertrain Engineer for Saturn (General Motors). I then returned to school for my MBA at University of Maryland with a focus in Operations Management. After graduation our family moved to Boulder, Colorado where I worked as a Textile Engineer/Project Manager for Hunter Douglas.

We returned to the East Coast in 2009 and I earned my teaching license at ODU. I am qualified to teach all secondary math, ranging from 6^th grade through Calculus.

Geometry is hands down my favorite math, it is fun! I am so happy to be teaching Honors Geometry at Dozier Middle School for the second year.

In my spare time I hang around Poquoson with my husband and our teenage daughter--every so often we even get to journey up to UVA to visit our son.
