Books on Bikes keeps children excited and engaged in reading throughout the summer. It increases access to books while helping to build a relationship between home and school as teachers deliver books with popsicles throughout student neighborhoods. Books on Bikes originated in Charlottesville and 3 Newport News Public School teachers have replicated the program locally.
