Job Description: The effective library assistant:

Helps Media Assistant distribute library materials for curriculum support to teachers

• tracks location of materials during summer school  

• collects library materials at end of summer school

• sorts and packs materials for return to lending sites

Assists Media Assistant with student circulation 

• checks library materials in and out 

• prints preset reports from library management system

Maintains orderly and attractive collection and learning spaces

• • sets up stations and materials for anchor lessons

  • assembles maker space kits and other sets of learning materials

  • puts up bulletin boards

  • shelves books in call number order

Assists students with inquiry assignments as needed

Special Attire or Equipment Needed: Professional/business casual unless specified differently from school level administrator.  Must follow NNPS dress code.

Compensation Information: $10.40 per hour
