Week of May 4, 2026:
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week, and we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible work of our teachers. We are grateful for all they do to support, inspire, and guide our students, as well as the positive impact they have on our community. If you have a chance, we encourage you to join us in thanking a teacher for the difference they make.
This Monday, we invite families to join us for our Spring Band Concert and Art Show. Come out to support our talented students as they showcase their musical performances and display their creative artwork.
This Friday is the senior elementary walk. Permission slips have been passed out to students and need to be turned in to the main office by May 5th. Students should bring their cap and gowns along with comfortable shows. Students will be leaving around 8:30 AM and return during 4th period.
Senior Award night will be May 20th starting at 6:00PM in the cafeteria. All seniors and their families are invited to attend.
Student athlete physicals will be held on Wednesday, May 20th from 1:30 PM to 4:45 PM in the North Newton High School lobby. This opportunity is available for all North Newton student-athletes in grades 5–12. The cost is $25, payable by cash or check only to Iroquois Memorial Hospital. Appointments are required. Our middle school bowlers had a fantastic performance this weekend. Keaton Marcotte earned 1st place for 7th grade. The team of Colton Clements, Keaton Marcotte, Brayden Wilson, and Odin Wendelburg finished as runners-up. We’re proud of their hard work and wish them the best of luck as they advance to the semi-state next week!
