Week of February 2, 2026:  

• It's the start of a new month and we are about half-way through the 3rd quarter.  Please make sure you are accessing your students grades through PowerSchool.  If you need assistance with that please reach out to Mrs. Wendelburg  kwendelburg@nn.k12.in.us

• Last Friday students who made the honor roll for quarter 2 were able to participate in an ice cream party.  Thank you Academic Boosters for putting this together for our students. 

• School will be in session on February 9, 2026 as one of our snow make up days.   We will not have school on February 16th in observance of President's Day. 

• February 26th will be our high school College and Career Fair.  If there are any community members and/or local professionals that would want to volunteer and share their career paths with our students please reach out to Mrs. Miller lmiller@nn.k12.in.us   

• North Newton FCCLA will be hosting the Senior High Winter Formal on Saturday, February 14th from 7:00–11:00 PM. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door and will go on sale at the beginning of February during both high school lunch periods. 

  • • The evening will include a DJ, photo booth, punch, and cookies. Bottled water will be available for purchase for $1.00. This is a formal dance, so no jeans or sweatpants will be permitted. Students must be in grades 9–12 and be current North Newton students to attend. Students may not be on the ineligible list and must attend school on Friday, February 13th in order to attend the dance. Guest passes must be turned in by February 4th. • North Newton FCCLA will be hosting the Junior High Winter Formal on Friday, February 13th from 7:00–10:00 PM. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door and will go on sale at the beginning of February during lunchtime.

• Our district has an anonymous tip line. Students and families are encouraged to use the "Say Something Anonymous Tip Line" to report any concerns about safety, including potential drug-related activities. This tool helps empower our school community to play an active role in keeping our environment safe. This reporting system can be located on our district website, texting TIP to 79775, or going to www.saysomething.net.
