Week of May 12, 2025:  

Hello Spartan Families, summer is right around the corner.  We hoped everyone was able to have a nice Mother's Day and enjoy the beautiful weather.  

• This is our last full week of the 2024-2025 school year.  Students' last day is Thursday, May 22nd.  Final exams start next Monday.  

• Sports physicals will be offered at the high school this Wednesday, May 14, 2025 for $25. To register, please call the school nurse at 219-285-2252 or email cvanderlaan@nn.k12.in.us.  More information can be found on HERE 

• Senior Award Night is on Wednesday, May 21st at 6:00PM.  All seniors are encouraged to attend and to wear their cap and gowns. 

• Seniors will complete their final exams on Wednesday, May 21st. However, they are still required to report to school on Thursday, May 22nd to participate in the graduation walkthrough.  All seniors should arrive at the building by 9:00 AM.

• Congratulations to the Class of 2025 for earning 1st place in the Jasper Newton Foundation Community Service Hours competition! They logged a total of 447 hours of community service. Way to go, Class of 2025!!

• The end of the school year is here, if your student has any library books, lunch fees, Chromebook fees, etc. please make sure you get those taken as soon as possible.  Please reach out to Cyndi Wiseman if you have any questions cwiseman@nn.k12.in.us 

• Another reminder with it being near the end of the school year, parent/guardians are reminded to pick up any student medications from the school nurse. Medications must be picked up by the last day of school May 22, 2025 — any remaining medications will be properly disposed of per school policy. • As a reminder, students and families are encouraged to use the "Say Something Anonymous Tip Line" to report any concerns about safety, including potential drug-related activities. This tool helps empower our school community to play an active role in keeping our environment safe. This reporting system can be located on our district website, texting TIP to 79775, or going to www.saysomething.net.  

• A thank you to our Athletic Boosters for their incredible support of our athletic programs. They play a vital role in providing resources for our student-athletes. One of the ways they raise funds is through the concession stands at our events. They are in need of volunteers to help run these stands. Your time and effort helps contribute to the success of our programs. If you’re able to lend a hand and volunteer, please use this LINK to sign up.
