Computational microstructure physics group

Our mission is to discover atomic-scale phenomena that will help in engineering material properties for targeted applications. We achieve this goal by employing atomistic simulations, mean-field modeling and machine learning algorithms to examine a broad category of  materials and mechanisms. Notionally, our research lies at the intersection of Materials Science, Condensed Matter Physics, Chemistry & Micromechanics. Our efforts have applications in metal additive manufacturing, hybrid organic-inorganic materials engineering, & geochemical processes.
