NMMATYC will host its 38th annual conference at
El Paso Community College in El Paso, TX.
The conference will be on Saturday, April 25, 2026. The conference will be at the Valle Verde Campus - AST Building.
The theme is the Magic of Mathematics: where logic meets wonder.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Arthur Benjamin
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Arthur Benjamin
Dr. Arthur Benjamin is the Smallwood Family Professor of Mathematics at Harvey Mudd College and the Visiting Professor for Public Outreach at the National Museum of Mathematics. He has been repeatedly honored by the Mathematical Association of America for his teaching and writing, and was selected by Princeton Review as one of The Best 300 Professors in America. He is also a professional magician and one of the world's fastest mental calculators. He is also a grandmaster in backgammon and is in the American Backgammon Hall of Fame.
Dr. Benjamin has given 3 TED talks which have been viewed over 50 million times. He has demonstrated and explained his calculating talents to audiences all over the world and has appeared on numerous television programs, including The Today Show, CNN, and The Colbert Report. He has been featured in Scientific American, Omni, Discover, People, Esquire, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and Reader's Digest. Reader's Digest calls him "America's Best Math Whiz."

Dr. Benjamin will host a pre-conference magic show* on Friday, April 24, 2026 from 6:00 - 7:30PM at El Paso Community College - Valle Verde Campus. Tickets to the magic show show are available to all participants, guests, and the community. Tickets are $25/person or $60/group of 4. These tickets are in addition to the conference program and registration.
*Magic show sold separately.
