Welcome to our parent resource page for the California State Seal of Civic Engagement (SSCE), where you can learn how your student can earn this honor on their high school diploma. This program recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in civic engagement by completing service-learning projects that address real-world problems in our community. You can support your student’s journey by helping them identify a meaningful issue to research and tackle, or by encouraging them to connect with the school or communit partners for guidance throughout the five stages of their project. We invite you to explore this site to understand the program requirements and information on how to help your student become a civic-minded leader.
