H.E. Bourgoin Bear Clubs Are Here!

At H.E. Bourgoin Middle School, we are very excited about our virtual "Bear Clubs". These clubs will give our students a safe, socially-distanced platform to connect, create, learn and have fun! At H.E.Bourgoin, we believe that student interests are important. We want our students to feel like they belong and find joy in meeting with other students who share their same interests in things like art, music, sports, and academics and more! All Bear Clubs are safely delivered through a Google Classroom with challenges, connection, virtual meets and more! speech and debate bear club (GR 7/8)

Do you love to argue your opinion but want to learn how to do so in a more respectful and enlightened way? Do you want to work on your skills for speaking about a topic? Join other students at HEB who also want to improve their speech and debate skills in this club with Mrs. Chick and Mrs. Casselman!

CHESS bear CLUB (GR 7/8)

Do you love to play chess and want to improve your skills with this challenging and fun game? Join Mr. Ilko and other HEB students who also love to play chess. Perhaps the club will organize a virtual tournament? Please email Mr. Ilko for more info.

Gaming mechanics bear club (Gr 5,6,7,8)

Do you love computers and want to join a club that will have a work at your own pace format to teach you how to create computer games? Are you interested in coding? This is a cool club led by Mr. Ilko. Please email him if you are interested!

HORSE bear CLUB (Gr 5,6,7,8)

Do you love horses and want to connect with other students at H.E. Bourgoin who also are interested in learning more about horses or sharing information about horses? Please sign up for this club. It is okay if you don’t have a horse of your own! This will be a great place to meet other people who also love horses or if you want to learn more about how to care for a horse! Ukulele bear Club (Gr 5,6,7,8)

Do you wish you could join a club and learn to play the ukulele together with other HEB students? Then this club is for you! In this club, students will meet virtually in a google hangout about once a month to share their interest in playing ukulele. Ms. Vranas is the teacher leader for this club. Art bear Club (Gr 5,6,7,8)

Do you love Art? Then this club is for you! In this club, students will meet virtually in a Google Meet about once a month to share their interest in Art. We will also work towards displaying our art somewhere in the school. As a club, we can explore various artists and share our creations on the Art Bear Club Google Classroom. Mrs. Casselman and Mrs. Stover are the teacher leaders for this club this year.

Baking bear Club (Gr 5,6,7,8)

Do you love to bake? Then this club is for you!

In this club, students will share their interest in baking. Students will complete baking challenges, share recipes and send us pictures of their creations to post on our Bear Clubs website! Our first challenge was rolled sugar cookies! MMMMMM… Mrs. Casselman and Ms. Huntley are so excited to share their love of baking with you. Please email them if you need more information.

environmental club (gr 5,6,7,8)

Do you want to join other students at HEB who are passionate about learning more about how to care for our environment? Do you want to meet with like minded people who have an interest in beautifying our back area of the school? This club is for you! Mrs. Casselman is the teacher leader for this club.
