The National Library of the Philippines and the Provincial Government of Pangasinan through Pangasinan Provincial Library and in collaboration of with the Association of Pangasinan Public Libraries, Inc. (APPLI), Philippine Association of School Librarian, Inc. (PASLI) and ASEAN Public Libraries Information Network (APLiN) will be conducting the 8th International Conference on Children and Young Adults Librarianship (ICCYAL) with the theme: "ICYMI: Libraries and community are Co-Partners in Advancing Exemplary Children and Young Adults Library Services" on October 1-4, 2024 at Sison Auditorium, Lingayen Pangasinan.
One of the highlights of the event is the recognition of Children's Librarian of the Year and Exemplary Children's Library Service that have made outstanding contributions and brought innovative approaches to children’s or youth services librarianship which will be awarded during the opening session of the said conference.
The Award Categories are as follows:
2024 Children's Librarian of the Year Award that recognizes a Librarian who demonstrated exceptional dedication and commitment in serving children or young adults; and
2024 Exemplary Children's Library Service Award that honors Libraries who delivered innovative, responsive and sustainable programs, projects, and activities for children and young adults.
