Athletes at St. Paul's are expected to represent the school in a positive way. This involves both working to the best of their ability academically, as well as showing proper behavior both in school and at team events.
Athletic Contracts
All students must submit an Athletic Contract and Medical Consent Form before participating in tournaments or games. Should students not hold up to the standards of the contract, a series of interventions will occur. If these interventions are unsuccessful, the student will be removed from the team for a period of time. Along with the items outlined in the contract, the following general rules apply.
At School
Work to the best of your ability. While every student is not expected to have straight A's, it is expected that the proper work ethic is shown.
Respect is shown to classmates, teachers, and other school staff at all times. Intentional classroom disruptions that affect the learning of classmates will not be tolerated.
Attendance is mandatory, students who are absent from school are not permitted to participate in any sports events that day. Chronic unexcused absences are not permitted.
At Outside Events
Students must realize that they are representing their school in a public place. The following is expected:
All officials and coaches are treated with respect at all times.
Proper sportsmanship is shown with the opposing team.
Fights will result in being removed from a team immediately.
Facilities, dressing rooms, etc will be treated with respect and properly cleaned up after use.
