Grade 4

Recorder Practice at Home

Students have gone through recorder expectations in the classroom.

Remember to:

1.Ask a parent or guardian when practice can take place

Recorders are very exciting and fun to play and learn! But instruments can sometimes be loud, especially when we are first learning them. Make sure to double check with a parent or guardian when would be a good time to practice.

If you cannot play your instrument at home, you can simply practice your recorder fingerings for the notes we have learned in class (or more if you are ready!).

2. When you finish practicing, make sure to always place your recorder, your recorder karate booklet, and your yellow recorder workbook back into your bookbag. You are responsible for bringing your recorder items back and forth from school so it is ready to use for music class.

During School:

Recorders are to be played during music class. Once you leave the music room, you will place your recorder items back into your bookbags unless you have been given permission by your classroom teacher to use it during freetime.
