Student Council & House League Activities

Student Council is started for the year.  Our president is Mr. Cameron Cobb and we are still taking names to form the remaining Council, these names will be posted soon. They plan  ongoing activities for students through the year. Ms. Kitchen, Ms. Lewis, and Ms. White work as Student Council sponsors to ensure that our students are involved and foster leadership amongst our students. 

2024-25 School Council

We are still looking for volunteers to step forward and join our School Council for this year.  We will be planning a meeting in the next few weeks.

Varsity Sports & Extra Curricular

We would like to thank those staff and parent volunteers who have stepped forward to coach a number of our teams this year. Please note the teams below without a coach.

We are also open to added any other teams or clubs if we have the volunteers to organize and run them. Please contact the school at (709) 488-2828 to sign up.

Career 2201 Volunteer Hours Level 1 -3 Students

Senior High students are required to complete 30 hours of Volunteer service to meet Provincial graduation requirements.  There are opportunities to volunteer at the school and community. Please encourage your child to consider volunteer opportunities to ensure that this is completed.

Upcoming dates:

• October 14th: Thanksgiving- Schools will be closed.

• October 25th: Janeway Jamarama Day- Please bring $2 and wear your PJs to support the children in the Janeway.

• November 1st: Teacher Professional Learning Day- No school for students.

• November 5th- Picture Day

• November 11th: Remembrance Day- Schools will be closed.

• November 26th: District Wide Closeout- No school for students.

Policy Reminders:

Please remind your child that we have a scent free and peanut free policy at school due to allergies at our school. There is also a no cell phone policy in place at school. If you need to contact your child outside of recess or lunch hours, please contact the school at 709-488-2828.
