PESIC Professional Learning Conference 2026

PESIC is pleased to invite physical education educators to our 2026 Professional Learning Conference!

Conference Schedule

8:00 a.m. – Registration & Check-In

8:30–9:00 a.m. – Keynote Address

9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. – Professional Learning Sessions

Participants will have the opportunity to attend a number of professional learning sessions throughout the day, featuring a variety of topics relevant to physical education and teaching. A more detailed schedule will follow after the registration deadline.

2:00–3:00 p.m. – PESIC Biennial General Meeting (BGM)

The conference will conclude with our PESIC Business General Meeting. Voting for PESIC committee positions will take place during the BGM.

Registration Cost

$150.00 per participant (Please email neilbaker@nlschools.ca if you require an invoice)

The registration fee covers your biannual PESIC membership fee and conference costs, including the building rental, service awards and professional learning opportunities. 

Lunch is not included. Based on feedback received through our conference feedback form, the majority of participants indicated that they would prefer to have lunch on their own. We will be trying this format for the 2026 conference. Participants will therefore be responsible for making their own lunch arrangements.

Please complete your registration by the deadline so we can finalize conference arrangements.

Please note that registrants are responsible for their own conference registration fees and any costs associated with securing a substitute day.

Conference Accommodation

The Ramada by Wyndham St. John’s has rooms available at a special conference rate for PESIC conference attendees travelling to St. John’s.

Conference Rate: $159.00 + applicable taxes per night
Rate held until: October 1, 2026

PESIC Grant Opportunity

There is also a PESIC Grant of up to $500 available to help support professional learning and physical education initiatives.
