We met a puppet friend Shanut from Labrador who taught us about the Innu Celebration A Time for Family. We learned that tea dolls carry tea and then we made a paper tea doll puppet to take home.

During Pancake Day we learned about following step by step directions and how important it is. We then made vanilla pudding where we had to follow the instructions and by following the directions we ended up with GREAT results......very YUMMY pudding!!!!!

As part of our Pink Shirt Day learning we read the book Chrysanthemum by Kevin Henkes. We realized that if we wrinkle up a paper heart every time Chrysanthemum feels sad and straighten it out each time she feels happy......even at the end of the story when Chrysanthemum is REALLY HAPPY the paper heart is still wrinkled! Our words really make a difference to people. Before you speak, think and be smart. It's hard to fix a wrinkled heart. A very valuable lesson for us all.
