My name is Emily Brych, and I am one of the new teachers here at Amalgamated for the upcoming school year. This year, I will be teaching a 'slue' of courses, including Technology 7, Mathematics 8, and Social Studies 7. This will be my second year as a teacher and first year as a Jr. High teacher. Last year, I worked at my old high school, Gander Collegiate, as a full-time math teacher, which I loved!

For some background on me, I completed my BSc in 2024 at Memorial University. I continued my studies here to pursue my education degree in Intermediate Secondary Education with a diploma in Technology Education. In my free time outside of school, I enjoy playing volleyball, golf, going to the gym, hiking, running and doing anything else outdoors. This year I am hoping to bring my passion for sports to Amalgamated by assisting with coaching at the school!
