Here's Some How-To's for Google

Signing into Google Classroom:

Go to Google classroom HERE
Click sign in
Enter your username (this is also your gmail email address)
Enter your password
Click accept to accept the terms and conditions
Select "student" as role
Click + symbol to "join first class"
ENTER CLASS CODE ugr124
You are now into Mr. T's Grade Five Google Classroom

The same Google account username and password is used for all Google apps/tools such as Gmail, Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Drive, etc...

Alternatively (and the better way), using the Web browser Google Chrome is the best way to use your Google Account. When you open Google Chrome hit sign-in in the top right corner and enter your Google Account information. All Google apps can then be found in the "waffle." Below is a detailed description in a Google Slides Presentation.

Tablets and iPads

You need an Internet connection and at least these Google Apps to access Google Classroom and assignments and such: (They are all Free)

Google Classroom
Google Slides
Google Docs
Google Drive

The NLESD uses G-Suite for Education. Students have access to all kinds of Google Apps that will be hosted within our new online learning environment, Google Classroom. Google Apps such as Google Docs, Slides, Drive, Calendar, Gmail, etc, have all been introduced to teachers with the NLESD in 2016, and now students in all grades can use them as well. They are excellent resources and incredible collaborative learning tools.
