Positive Actions for Student Success (PASS) is an important support available offered at Amalgamated Acadmey. This program is designed to help students who may be having difficulty staying fully engaged in their learning.
Student Success Teachers (SSTs) play a key role by building strong relationships with students and creating a safe, supportive environment. They work closely with other staff members to offer guidance during important points in a student’s school experience.
SSTs also adapt the learning environment to meet individual student needs, often providing support both inside and outside the classroom. PASS programming helps students reconnect with in‑person learning, manage challenging life circumstances, help build social emotional well being and achieve academic goals.
In junior high, PASS focuses on re-engaging students and building their sense of belonging, hope and confidence. The overall goal of PASS is to strengthen student engagement and promote success.
Students can access PASS through referrals from teachers, guidance counselors, or school administrators. They may also choose to reach out to the Student Success Teacher on their own to begin working toward greater academic progress and personal growth.
