MDJH Tools for Success Lottery 2023

Lottery Information

Why?

To continue the work that we started last year with the goal of providing access to the tools, resources, and experiences that will give them the greatest success in their learning.  Some of the initiatives we are working on are:

• Tools and equipment for our newly established Makerspace including 3D printers, sewing machines, crafting tools and materials.

• A 1/2 acre shared school-community garden that will allow students to learn about the benefits of growing their own food while working with community groups to develop a stronger sense of citizenship.

• A playground that will feature specialized equipment to support our 

• Hardware and software that will be used to support students with their learning and creativity.

When?

Tickets will be available for sale from the week of November 21st to draw date, December 15th 2023.  Tickets are $5.00 each.

What?

The Grand Prize will be $5000.00 in the winner's choice of Gift Cards OR a Cash Prize.

Sellers and Rewards

We are asking students and families to help us get these tickets out to the community, and we will reward them for it.

For our sellers:

A.  Daily gift card draws for those returning ticket stubs and money.

B.  Overall top individual seller’s prize will be a gift card - student choice:

First Place $200.00

Second Place $150.00

Third Place $100.00

B. Top Homeroom seller’s prize for the homeroom with the greatest collective sales:

     A morning at Frontline Action for Laser Tag

C. Daily Seller Prize Draws 

How Can You Help?

Here, at MDJH, we have a collective vision for our school that will move us to the forefront of student success, through our Deep Learning initiatives.  The graphic, below, illustrates the interconnectedness of the key components of Deep Learning and highlights the critical role that Leveraging Digital has in this process.   Equally important, in this graphic, is the value of Learning Partnerships.  We, as a learning community, believe that we must work together, as partners, to ensure that our students have every opportunity to access learning experiences and resources to achieve academically, socially, and emotionally.  This fundraising initiative is the first step toward these goals.  We hope you will join us on the journey.  Collectively, we will get there.
