Book Signout Requests

Students can sign out books in person, but you can also browse online and put in an online request for a book. Our library database has an OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) where students can browse for books and put in a request for checkout.

Here is how it works...

1. Hit this link to access the Insignia website. 

2. Hit the Login button at the top right. It will prompt you to log in with your NLESD Google account. (If you get an error message, make sure your Chrome browser is not blocking the popup. Up at the top right, there would be an error message and icon that says Popup blocked. Click on that to allow the popup.)

3. Find the book you want. You can hit the Keywords dropdown menu and browse by title, author, series, or genre. Or you can hit Kids and What's new.

4. Go into the book and hit Reserve. Ms. Power will deliver it to your classroom.
