PARKING LOT REMINDERS

• Our parking lot is very busy and generally experiences high traffic flow. Please keep in mind that we have very young children coming to school and therefore we ask that you drive with extreme caution.

• Please give the right-of-way to the buses which will go around the school to the back of the building. 

• Kiss & Go Lane  - there are 2 traffic lanes in this area.

This is a quick stop drop-off lane, for brief student departures from the vehicles.  Students are encouraged to exit on the right hand side vehicle door to avoid being released into traffic in Lane 2.  Please treat our Kiss and Go Lane like a "drive thru", where parents remain in the vehicles and the drop off is as efficient as possible. Staff will be available to assist with doors. Parents must park if more time is needed.  Unfortunately we do not have sufficient parking for parents.  Many parents/guardians often choose to park at either St. Martin’s or Fraser Street United Church parking lots. 

It is important to note that these parking lots are not school property is may only be plowed/ice-controlled for church events. The use of these lots is at your own risk and neither church will assume responsibility for any incidents, damage or accidents that may occur.

Our Staff/Visitor Parking lots can not be used as a kiss and go/dropoff location. This is extremely unsafe and slows down traffic for the kiss and go.

Please note that we have all our staff on supervision in orange vests to help direct students safely to the school entrances and classrooms. 

STUDENT DISMISSAL FOR PICKUP ONLY

Please see the diagram below to understand the exits that your child will be using for pick-up dismissal at the end of the school day.

Kindergarten - Exit nearest the United Church

Grade 1 - Exit nearest the the playground

Grade 2-3 - Exit the school’s main entrance

Parents/Guardians are reminded that we do not have sufficient parking in our Staff/Visitor Parking Lot. 

The Kiss-and-Go Lane is not to be used for picking up students.

IMPORTANT:  PLEASE COMMUNICATE IN WRITING HOW YOUR CHILD WILL BE GETTING HOME 

(bus, pick up, day care etc)
