PARKING LOT REMINDERS

• Our first day of school will be very busy and our parking lot generally experiences high traffic flow. Please keep in mind that we have very young children coming to school and therefore we ask that you drive with extreme caution.

• Please give the right-of-way to the buses which will go around the school to the back of the building. 

• Kiss & Go Lane  - there are 2 traffic lanes in this area.

This is a quick stop drop-off lane, for brief student departures from the vehicles.  Students are encouraged to exit on the right hand side vehicle door to avoid being released into traffic in Lane 2.  Parents are advised to pull as far forward in the lane as There is a Kiss and go lane in the front of the school. Parents must park if more time is needed - please park in the designated parking area or at St. Martin’s or United Church parking lots if students need more time to exit the vehicle, or for adults to accompany students to the school doors. 

Do not use the parking lot as a kiss and go. This is extremely unsafe and slows down traffic for the kiss and go.

Please note that we have all our staff on supervision in orange vests to help direct students safely to the school entrances and classrooms. 

STUDENT DISMISSAL FOR PICKUP ONLY

Please see the diagram below to understand the exits that your child will be using for pick-up dismissal at the end of the school day.

Kindergarten - Exit nearest the United Church

Grade 1 - Exit nearest the the playground

Grade 2-3 - Exit the school’s main entrance

Please park in the designated parent parking lots and stand in the kiss-and-go lane for your child.

Please do not crowd the door.

IMPORTANT:  PLEASE COMMUNICATE IN WRITING HOW YOUR CHILD WILL BE GETTING HOME 

(bus, pick up, day care etc)
