DC Cheer Tryouts!
Thank you so much to Chef Katie Hayes and her breakfast team for making pretzels at Discovery Collegiate to celebrate International Pretzel Day in April.
Congratulations to the Discovery Collegiate Destroyers girls team on winning the 2024 Royal Newfoundland Regiment Memorial Hockey Tournament – Girls Battalion with a 5-2 victory over the Corner Brook Regional High Titans.
Congratulations to Ms. Isabella Mouland in Grade 8, who recited 137 digits of Pi on Pi Day, March 14th. Isabella was presented with a $137 cheque by Mrs. Nancy Tilley, who is Isabella’s Math teacher here at DC. Isabella is the student to beat next March 14th! Get your Pi Hats on everyone!!
Congratulations to Discovery Collegiate’s Cheerleading Squad who competed at The Big Bite Cheerleading competition on Saturday, March 15th. They placed 1st place in their division and 2nd highest scoring team out of the entire competition!
The Destroyers won a monetary gift to attend High School Worlds or High School Nationals next year!

Mrs. Sheppard's class created bold silhouettes on a painted sunset background and in their classroom windows.
Students and staff had creative Halloween costumes this year at Discovery Collegiate!
Mrs. Sheppard's class certainly enjoyed their turkey dinner! They even had a special guest, Mrs. Abbott.
