We’re very excited to let you know that the Provincial School Food Program (Pay- what-you can) will be resuming at Bay Robert’s Primary on September 21, 2026!

This is a great program that will once again be delivered by Harbour Breeze Catering, so families can expect the same quality, and reliable service they’ve come to know, while also providing access to healthy lunches for all students and staff.

Students will have two meal options each day, and milk will be included. Meals will need to be pre-ordered through the province’s new school food ordering system. While the system may look a little different for parents this year, it is very user-friendly and convenient, and links directly with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s e-payment system.

The program allows families to choose a meal payment amount that is comfortable for them. They can pay anywhere from $0–$6.00 per meal, with no questions or concerns, and their payment choice is completely confidential.

Meals will be pre-ordered, but we will be working closely with Garry Gosse and his team, as well as your staff, to make sure no student is left out as families get used to the new system.

A note for parents with information on how the program works, along with a user guide for the new ordering system, will be sent in a separate email for distribution to your families within the next day or so. If you’d like to make an announcement to parents before then, please feel free to do so, and the additional information can follow shortly afterward.
