A few rules for every instrument
Be gentle. Keep it safe. Never force anything.
Band instruments are designed to last for many years, but some of their parts are surprisingly delicate. Always handle your instrument carefully, keep it in its case when you're not using it, and never force a piece that is stuck.
If something doesn't look, feel, or sound right, stop and ask Ms. McDonald. Most instrument problems are much easier to fix before someone tries to fix them!
