We are looking to buy new equipment for a computer lab that is dedicated for our esports program and computer science classes. We will use donated money to buy computer and equipment that will allow us to compete in the Iowa High School Esports Association.
The New London Esports program was started during the 2020-2021 school year. There was enthusiasm from both student and staff to start a program that would get more students involved in school events. However, our program uses computers that are borrowed with our industrial tech classes as well as our computer science classes. Creating a computer lab that is focused on computer science and our esport program will require stronger computers to run the programs and games that will allow us to compete with school across Iowa.
