• Food waste composting gel researches, and utilization of food wastes composting technology to treat mineral oil contaminatied wastes and soils.

• During the past 25 years, Dr. Chitsan Lin has accomplished many acheivements include:

1. 20+ years experience in environmental monitoring services, environmental forensic investigations, indusrial pollution prevention, hazardous waste site investigation and remediation, ambient VOCs monitoring, soil and groundwater monitoring, food wastes recylcling and composting.

2. Professional industrial services include pollution prevention consulting services, research and development, technology transfer, technical service, project initiation and management, laboratory certification.

3. Published over 300 scientific and technical papers these include 100+ SCI papers and 200+ conference papers.

4. Served as review panel I for grant award and journal

5. Received more than 50 various academic and social contribution awards.

6. Received more than 80 grant contracts from governments, industry and academia.

7. Participated in professional society activities, organized symposium forum, and community development.

8. Serving as a journal Associated Editor, Dr. Lin is reviewing 50-100 manuscirpts each year to select qualified manuscripts for publication.

• The PhD students who want to join our lab should possess basic biology and molecular biology knowledge and experimental skills such as sterile operation, bacterial pure culture, PCR, etc. The research interests in environmental toxicology are also required. We will give priority to those who are skillful in culturing Caenorhabditis elegans.

• Our lab focuses on the agricultural and aquatic products, and their processing into value-added foods or products. Our lab also provides food analysis services for food industries, government institutions and other clients, such as qualitative and/or quantitative analysis of raw food and processed food in the following areas: chemical analysis, physical analysis, microbiological analysis and food quality analysis. Our research is based on food analytical techniques integrate with bio-catalysis, food engineering, biochemistry, microbiology, and biotechnology to develop process or products.
