實驗室簡介 About EMISC Lab
EMISC Lab 致力於電力電子硬體與電池管理演算法的協同設計(co-design)研究。我們認為,下一代高性能儲能系統的關鍵,在於打破傳統「充電器」與「電池演算法」分離開發的研究範式——充電策略決定電池的長期壽命,而轉換器的硬體特性(開關頻率、電流漣波、感測架構)則直接影響電池狀態估測的可靠度。EMISC Lab 從這個交叉點出發,建立硬體與演算法雙向迭代的研究方法。
我們以「Converter-Aware Battery Intelligence」為核心理念,整合自主設計的電力轉換硬體(FSBB、Flyback 主動均衡電路)、電池狀態估測演算法(EKF/UKF/PINN/Random Forest),以及 FPGA 加速部署,建立從「充電器硬體 → 估測演算法 → 壽命管理」的端到端智能化平台。
實驗室主持人吳宗勲博士擁有 12 年以上產業經驗,曾任技術長、研發工程師等職務,結合學術深度與工程實戰,致力於培養兼具理論與實作能力的下一代儲能系統研究者。
EMISC Lab focuses on the co-design of power conversion hardware and battery management algorithms — a critical yet underexplored intersection in modern energy storage systems. We believe that the next generation of high-performance energy storage depends on breaking the conventional research paradigm in which chargers and battery algorithms are developed in isolation: charging strategies shape long-term battery health, while converter-level characteristics — switching frequency, current ripple, and sensing architecture — directly affect the fidelity of battery state estimation. EMISC Lab works at this intersection, establishing a research methodology in which hardware and algorithms iterate against each other.
Guided by the principle of "Converter-Aware Battery Intelligence," we integrate in-house power conversion hardware (FSBB converters, flyback-based active balancing circuits), battery state estimation algorithms (EKF, UKF, PINN, Random Forest), and FPGA-accelerated deployment into a unified platform that spans the full chain from charger hardware → estimation algorithms → lifetime management.
The lab is led by Dr. Tsung-Hsun Wu, who brings over 12 years of industry experience in roles ranging from CTO to R&D engineer. Combining academic depth with engineering practice, he is committed to cultivating the next generation of energy storage researchers who are equally capable in theory and in hands-on implementation.

本實驗室主持人深耕產學合作多年,累計執行 13 件產學計畫,總金額逾新台幣 1,000 萬元,合作對象涵蓋儲能、電動載具、工業節能與智慧製造等領域的領導廠商。實驗室具備從電力轉換器設計、BMS 軟硬體開發、到 AI 演算法部署的完整能量,能依業界需求提供客製化的技術開發、原型驗證與人才培育服務。

The PI has built a sustained track record in industry-academia collaboration, having led 13 sponsored projects with cumulative funding of over NT$10 million (~US$310K). Partner companies span the energy storage, electric mobility, industrial energy efficiency, and smart manufacturing sectors. EMISC Lab offers end-to-end capabilities — from power converter design and BMS hardware/firmware development to AI algorithm deployment — and welcomes industry partners interested in customized technology development, prototype validation, and joint talent cultivation.
