WELCOME TO THE
To our Valued Patrons,
As Director of the Drama Program at North Kingstown High School, I am pleased to welcome you to NorTheatre's 2025-2026 season! NKHS has a long-standing tradition of offering opportunities in various avenues of theatre, catering to over one hundred students each year. We strive to continue these opportunities for our students, and we are excited to watch them grow confidently into young adults, onstage and off.
NorTheatre is thrilled to present a two-show season, focused on providing lots of laughs to our patrons. Our fall production is a two part performance; one half play, one half cabaret. The first half will feature Don Zolidis's How to Get Away with a Murder Mystery. This one act play is an farcical how-to with thinly disgused references to detectives and suspects from film and literature. The second half will feature musical performances from various Broadway musicals. Performance is Saturday, November 1st at 7:00pm.
Our spring production is Anything Goes, written by Cole Porter. Jazz standards abound, like You're the Top, It's Delovely, and the title song, Anything Goes. The show follows the relationships between stowaways, sailors, and socialites, as they cruise across the Atlantic Ocean in the 1930s. Performances of this tap dancing extravaganza are March 6th-8th.
Theater has always been available as an escape, as a way to reflect on human behavior, and a way to just be with each other. While murder is certainly no laughing matter, and the 30s were literally labeled the Great Depression, the theatre is able to turn an idea on its head and shift perspectives. As laughter is often the best medicine, our goal is to provide a place for all to come and laugh along with us. We hope that you are able to join us for a delovely season.
With gratitude,
Katherine Boisclair
