Meet Our ITRT

My name is Courtney Lewis. This will be my 13th year working for New Kent County Public Schools but my 4th year serving as our Elementary ITRT. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve all of the students and staff at New Kent Elementary School and Quinton Elementary School.  

A Little About Myself...

I graduated from Christopher Newport University where I received my B.A  in Psychology and a minor in Childhood Studies.  I went on to get my Masters of Arts in Teaching there a year later. I completed my student teaching with Newport News Public Schools where I taught 2nd grade and then became a long term substitute, teaching Kindergarten, there.  I taught 1st grade here with New Kent County Public Schools for 9 years.  I grew up in Hanover County but  moved to New Kent after my husband and I got married.  We have a 5 year old son and a 7 month old daughter whom keep us very busy!  In our free time we love spending time at the river, playing soccer, reading, and attending NC State football and basketball games.
