Why did you choose to become an Ag teacher? I grew up in the farming and ranching community, on my own family's cattle ranch. My father was an agriculture educator for 32 years, and recently retired from teaching at Red Bluff High School. He also taught agriculture mechanics, and I found myself inspired by the role he played in the lives of young people and the agriculture community, and wanted to follow in his footsteps.
Past jobs before Ag Ed: I worked on the Shasta College Farm as a student employee in college, as well as the California State University, Chico Farm on the beef unit, working as a part-time fabricator at the same time. I worked on various other cattle and hay ranches, and worked as a tire installer and mechanic at Costco after graduating from College before eventually becoming an agriculture educator.
Hobbies: I really love exercise and athletics such as pickleball and CrossFit, as well as card games and going to concerts with my friends.
