How long you have been an Ag teacher: 9 years
Why did you choose to become an Ag Teacher: I attended Fresno State to earn my Bachelor’s degree in Ag Education and Chico State for my teaching credential. My Ag Teacher Mr. Kemp always told me in high school that I should be an Ag Teacher. When the opportunity arose in 2016 to start teaching Ag Mechanics I was excited for the challenge.
Past jobs before Ag. Ed: I worked various industries, including meat processing, motorcycle repair, heavy equipment operation and repair, fabrication and started a small farm. I am passionate about agriculture and all things mechanical.
Hobbies: In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, fixing old cars, tractors and motorcycles and going for a motorcycle ride. I also take care of the family cattle ranch.

How long you have been an Ag teacher: 3 Years
Why did you choose to become an ag teacher: I chose to become an Ag Teacher as I believe this form of hands on education in and out of the class room is unmatched for preparing students for life after High School. On top of that Lets be real, we get to learn by doing and build cool stuff all day. That is what gets me excited
Past jobs before Ag Ed: Before finding Ag teaching I worked in various Industries from Construction, Sales, Design and Project Management to Farming/Ranching and even Restaurants and Hospitality. It is my industry experience that has given me the most valuable tools that I try to bring into the classroom everyday
Hobbies: In my free time I like to do various hobbies like Hunting, Fishing, and Snowboarding, but most of all I enjoy traveling and spending time around homemade meals with Family & Friends

How long have you been an Ag teacher? 2 years.
Why did you choose to become an ag teacher? I chose to become an Ag. teacher because I had wonderful Ag. teachers myself who pushed me to try new things and take on opportunities that scared me. I wouldn't be where I am today without them. I wanted to be that role model for my own students and allow them to find their true potential and passions!
Past jobs before Ag Ed: I worked for 4 years in plant care and production. Over the summers I worked at A to Z Supply's nursey and while I was at Chico State I worked at Nursery and Tree farm as well as for Chico State's College of Agriculture.
Hobbies: I love to paddle board and hang out at the river, hike, travel, CrossFit, paint, go to concerts, and hangout with friends!

How long have you been an Ag teacher? I have been an ag teacher for two years now at Bear River High School.
Why did you choose to become an ag teacher? I chose to become an ag teacher because from a very young age, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher due to my strong love for helping others and the curiosity of learning new things. When I was in high school I found my love for agriculture through the 4H & FFA agriculture organizations. My sophomore year of high school I decided to combine my two passions into one perfect career - ag teaching!
Past jobs before Ag Ed: Before ag teaching, I worked in various ag related jobs from a county fair employee to a farm hand on the Organic Vegetable Project at Chico State.
Hobbies: In my free time, I enjoy skiing, fishing, hiking and spending quality time with family & friends. I am so thankful to be working with the best students at the best school!
