Choose a book to read.

• You can choose a book from this website or visit the Ringwood Public Library for other suggestions. This should be a book that is new to you--one that you have not read or quizzed on before.

• Please avoid our upcoming class novels. We are excited to read these books together! Hatchet, Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes, So B. It, The Outsiders, The Crossover,  A Long Walk to Water, Flowers for Algernon or A Christmas Carol.

Read your book.

• Helpful hint: stop and jot with post-its. Post-its are a great way to track your thinking of keep track of important connections and details while you read.

Complete at least one task from the choice board below. This is a mandatory assignment that will be collected on the first day of school.

Repeat! Feel free to read more. You are encouraged to read as much as possible.
