This workshop will bring together heliophysics data providers, modelers and data scientists with the goal of establishing, within the framework of the NSF supported EarthCube initiative, a Research Coordination Network (RCN) intended to foster collaboration between heliophysics and computer scientists, which will result in ideas and concrete plans for better integration of data, models, and analysis tools. This RCN will actively encourage involvement of a diverse pool of community members and will provide an organized virtual structure that will promote a science transforming open source knowledge collaboration.
