2026 TIA Scholarship Information

The Class of 2026 NJA/TIA Scholarship form is now available and accepting applications.  This season, $50,000 in scholarships will be awarded!

Eligibility requirements for a Class of 2026 NJA/TIA Scholarship are below:

• The applicant must be a SENIOR graduating in 2026.

• The applicant must be a member of a unit participating in the 2026 TIA Season.

• The applicant’s unit must be full members of the Tournament organization in good standing.

Returning for the 2026 TIA Season is the Ken Fox Sportsmanship Scholarship!   Ken "Chip" Fox has been a performer, Instructor, Designer, and NJA Judge for more than 40 years now. In recognition of the enjoyment and self-betterment that Ken has experienced as a part of the marching activity during that time, he has endowed a $1000.00 Sportsmanship Scholarship.

The cornerstone of Ken’s philosophy in the activity has always been good sportsmanship and support for all those involved in the activity. As such, Ken has decided to make that the basis of the award. In that pursuit, Ken is asking for unit directors to give feedback on which units reflect those qualities. Please nominate up to three units that you feel exhibit the following characteristics that embody the following descriptions (based on your personal interpretations):

• Professionalism

• Competitive Spirit

• Fairness

• Support of competitors

• Appreciation For Competitors

• Winning with Pride and Humility

• Losing with Grace

• Furthering the Activity 

Based on the nominations, one unit will be chosen to receive the award.  The Director of that unit will then be asked to choose a Senior member of the unit to receive the award based on the same criteria.
