Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration (SPARC) is an initiative by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the Government of India, to improve research ecosystem in India. It supports national premier educational institutions by facilitating academic and research collaborations between Indian institutions and the best and selected institutions across the world. As a part of the SPARC sponsored project between NIT Warangal and Lund University, Sweden, an international conference is envisaged with a theme on safe system approach for Indian mixed traffic conditions.
The aim of the conference is to promote knowledge among Indian academics, practitioners, and decision makers about Safe System as the state-of-the-art approach to traffic safety management. The conference features a mixture of theoretical keynote lectures, discussion sessions, and active engagement of the participants on varied topics related to the safe system approach.

Connected and Autonomous vehicle safety
Road User behaviour and safety
Safety regulations and enforcement

Submission Deadline: December 25, 2025 December 15, 2025

Instructions and Authors Template
Prospective authors can submit either a full paper (at least 8 A4 pages), A case study (at least 6 A4 pages).
Accepted full papers and case studies will be further considered for possible publication in the partner journals.
The Conference will be held in hybrid mode i.e. both in offline and online modes. However, authors are requested to prefer for offline mode.

Selected papers presented at the conference will be further considered for possible submission to Scopus-indexed Traffic Safety Research, Suitable papers will be independently peer-reviewed by subject matter experts as per the journal process. Authors who present at the conference may consider submitting their full paper to the Journal of Road Safety (JRS). The aim of the JRS is to facilitate sharing of new knowledge that will help prevent death, serious injury, and associated trauma due to crashes on our roads. Suitable papers will be independently peer-reviewed by subject matter experts. For more details on publishing in the JRS, go to: journalofroadsafety.org

The registration fee covers working lunch (on both days) and high tea during the conference hours.

Air Route : Hyderabad is the nearest Airport from Warangal. Take a train or a cab to our campus, which takes around two and half hours by road and two hours by rail.
By Rail : Kazipet (3 kms) / Warangal (12 kms) are the nearest railheads. Many trains pass through Kazipet junction, which is generally preferred.
By Road : NIT Warangal is 2½ hrs drive by cab on Hyderabad - Warangal National Highway number-163.
