Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar was established in the year 1987 as Regional Engineering College and attained the status of National Institute of Technology in the year 2002. As National Institute of Technology, the Institute has the responsibility of providing high quality technical education in Engineering and Technology to produce competent technical manpower for the country. The Institute offers B. Tech. courses in fourteen disciplines of Engineering and Technology. Institute also offers programs leading to Integrated B.Sc.-B.Ed., M. Sc., M. Tech., MBA and Ph.D. degrees.

Workshop overview

The objective of organizing the workshop on quantum technologies is to provide a platform to participants to learn the fundamentals of the emerging field of quantum technologies. The essential concepts of quantum computing are key to the development of these technologies.

Topics to be covered

Quantum Computing, Quantum Circuits, Quantum Algorithms, Quantum Monte Carlo Methods, Quantum Materials, Quantum Sensing, Quantum Cryptography, Quantum Thermodynamics, Quantum Machine Learning

Hands on sessions on Qiskit are also planned during this workshop.

Fee details

Faculty/Scientist/Industry Persons/Postdoc/RA: Rs. 2500 (including 18% GST)
Students and Research Scholars: Rs. 2000 (including 18% GST)
Faculty/PostDoc/RA/students of NITJ: Rs. 1500

Fee is non-refundable and only covers the tea breaks and lunch for all days during the workshop.

Accommodation

Accommodation will be provided to the external participants in the institute hostels on chargeable basis (subject to availability).
Limited number of accommodations may be provided in the institute Guest House (subject to availability).

Approximate Charges (including accommodation, breakfast and dinner)

Hostel: Rs. 500 per day on sharing basis.
Institute Guest House: Rs. 1500 per day.

The participants who need the accommodation will have to pay the accommodation charges on spot. Kindly provide details, if accommodation is required while filling the registration form.
