Dr. Gautam Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering, with research expertise in Image Processing, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning, focusing on applications in agriculture, healthcare, robotics, and biometrics.
Dr. Kumar has published extensively in reputed international journals. His research contributions include adaptive hyperspectral image analysis, lightweight deep learning architectures, biometrics, and AI-driven healthcare analytics. His work emphasizes robust, generalizable, and computationally efficient deep learning models for real-world visual computing applications.
He is a professional member of IEEE India and ACM India. Dr. Kumar has delivered several keynote lectures, expert talks, Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), and hands-on workshops on topics including lightweight deep learning frameworks, probabilistic modelling, and the mathematical foundations of machine learning. He actively engages in academic leadership through mentoring, research collaboration, curriculum enrichment, and evaluation roles at national-level technical events.
