About Sra. Yetto

I have enjoyed teaching Spanish for the past 22 years in New York State. My first teaching job was in Central New York, and prior to moving to Niskayuna, I taught Spanish at Ichabod Crane Middle School. While teaching at Niskayuna CSD, I have taught High School, Middle School and Elementary Spanish. I have also taught English as a New Language, and I am currently co-teaching Social Studies in grade 6. In my free time, I serve as President of the Capital Organization of Language Teachers (COLT). In December 2017, I became a National Board Certified World Language Teacher. I was fortunate to be involved in three different exchanges through the Niskayuna World Language Department. In 2017 and 2015, I participated in the Niskayuna-Almería Spanish Exchange, and in 2014, I took part in the Niskayuna-Hamm German Exchange. I would encourage all of the World Language Students at Niskayuna to consider these wonderful exchange programs in the future!

I have a wonderful family, including my son Bryan (6th grade at Iroquois) and my husband who is a Civil Engineer and serves as the Superintendent of Water and Sewer for the Town of Niskayuna. I also have two very fluffy and energetic dogs, Barnaby and Rex.
