I am an associate professor of physics at NISER, Bhubaneswar. I joined NISER in 2016, prior to that I did my post-doctoral work with Prof. Dr. Dirk Hermann Rischke at Goethe university Frankfurt (March 2014 - August 2016: two and half year) and with Prof. Xin-Nian Wang of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, USA and CCNU, China (2013-2014). I finished my PhD from VECC, India in 2012, Prof. Asis Kumar Choudhury was my supervisor.
PhD
My field of research is high energy heavy ion collisions (theory and phenomenology). During my Phd period the main focus was on the evaluation of various transport coefficients of nuclear matter. Later on I did research on various other topics which include longitudinal correlation of flow harmonics, electromagnetic field in heavy ion collisions, relativistic hydrodynamics and magnetohydrodynamics, Boltzmann equation etc. For complete list of work please see the weblink given below.
Suppose we have a fortran(90 or above) program which contains one or more subroutine we can use that program in a Python program in the following way:
Open a terminal and go to the directory where the programs are kept
First compile the fortran program by typing " f2py -c -m xxx yyy.f95", where xxx is the python module name to be created from the fortran program yyy.f95
Now import xxx as module in Python and use the subroutine(s) as xxx.subroutinename(arguments).
More details can be found in Using Python as a glue
