Mr. Chad Waterman
This will be Mr. Waterman’s 22nd year of teaching and his 1st year back at Wilson Middle School. Previously, he opened Worthington, and he was the assistant director at Wilson Middle School. His first year of teaching was in a K-12 music program in Michigan. After attending graduate school, he moved to Texas and taught in the Arlington School District as a band director and percussion specialist for four years. He has been in the Northwest School District for the past fourteen years.
Mr. Waterman attended Grand Valley State University where he was a member of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Steeldrum Band and Marching Band. After teaching for one year in the public school system of Michigan, Mr. Waterman worked as a graduate assistant at the University of Akron. While at graduate school, he studied with Dr. Larry Snider and was a member of the grammy nominated UA Steelband, under the direction of Matthew Dudack. As a percussionist, Mr. Waterman is a member of the Percussive Arts Socitey, Texas Music Educators Association, and Texas BandMasters Association. He lives in Rhome with his wife Sarah and two daughters, Leah and Paige.
Mr. Waterman spends his free time riding his bikes, golfing, fishing and working on projects around the house. He and his family like to travel, spend time outdoors, and take advantage of all good weather days.
