This class is for the actor who wants to increase their acting skills but is not quite ready for the extra-curricular requirements of a production class. We study Michael Shurtleff's "Audition" and Uta Hagan's "An Actor Prepares" in this class. Both of these classes culminate in a production at the end of the year.
This class is for the dedicated acting student. In this class we focus on Playwriting for the first semester, writing both monologues and short and long scenes. These self-written selections are performed for an audience at the end of the first semester. The second semester focuses on directing theory and practice. The students produce directing projects at the end of the year.
This class is for the student who is interested in pursuing acting and directing for college or a career. We focus on audition monologues in the fall semester and then students assume an acting role in our fall show or holiday show. Directors are given the opportunity to assistant direct the fall show or holiday show. The spring semester focuses on actors working on several acting roles in student directed projects.
