Tidwell Student Council Officer Election is now over! Apply again in the 2026-2027 STUCO Season!
Holding a Student Council Officer position is a serious commitment. By running for office, you are agreeing to spend one year of dedicated school service. Outlined below are some of the requirements you must meet to run for office as well as some of the requirements you must fulfill if elected.
Requirements to run for office:
Students must turn in a completed petition for candidacy, two recommendation forms from teachers, as well as the grade check no later than the deadline given.
Officers must meet the grade-level requirements for the position that they are running for.
No major disciplinary actions taken in the previous school year.
Requirements for Student Body Officers:
Must maintain satisfactory citizenship grades. Any "U" could result in temporary probation and/or permanent suspension after review by Mrs. Martin.
Must exemplify the essential elements of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Good Citizenship.
Maintain excellent school attendance
Regularly attend the class council meetings
Carry out duties assigned
Abide by all school regulations and policies
Student Council Officers failing to meet either academic or participation requirements will be placed on probation. If the deficiency is not then cleared in the space of two weeks, the officer in question may be removed from office.

Aurora Buck- 8th Grade STUCO Vice President
Advisory Officer Team: Bailey Morris, Kira Delgado, Madilyn Potter, Shogher Hartounian, Hayli Coulam
President:
ONLY 8th grade students may run
Preside over Student Council and Advisory Council meetings
Prepare agendas for the official meetings
Assist the STUCO Advisor in planning leadership lessons and team building activities
Oversee/Assist all executive and commissioner positions, along with the Vice President
Vice-President:
8th grade students may run
Fulfill the duties of the President in the latter's absence
Oversee/assist the President and STUCO Sponsor
Monitor attendance at STUCO activities
Promote STUCO to educate student body on their accomplishments
Assist in keeping membership records, including member contact information
