My job is a dream! As an instructional technologist in NISD I get to spend my time encouraging and empowering teachers and students each day. I also get to partner with administrators and my amazing team to cast vision and help carry it out. I believe in good pedagogy and love how technology is a vehicle to make it happen. I am passionate about digital citizenship, student voice and creation, and the power of feedback. Teachers have the opportunity to impact students in BIG ways.

This is my 12th year in the district and my 9th year as in Instructional Technologist. I started my career as a High School English Teacher and Basketball/Track Coach at Northwest High School. I spent the last few years in the STEM academy where technology integration became a passion.

Outside of my profession, I am a proud wife to Tom Horn who also teaches in NISD and I'm blessed to be the mom of two littles. I enjoy being outside, camping, hiking, and traveling. I also spend a lot of my time with my church family at The Mount.
