The Teaching Journey
Hello, my name is Brytnei, and this is my 16th year teaching for Northwest ISD. I graduated from the University of North Texas and have taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades, with 3rd grade being my favorite. This will be my 10th year teaching 3rd grade. I have spent a total of 10 years at Beck, although not consecutively. I had the opportunity to leave Beck for a few years to help open Lance Thompson Elementary School. Being a part of building a school culture on a new campus was an amazing experience, and I will always cherish my time there. However, Beck has always felt like home to me. In addition to teaching, I have served as a 1st and 3rd grade curriculum writer for the district and as an NISD model teacher for new educators. I was honored to be recognized as Beck's Teacher of the Year in January, and in April, I was awarded NISD's Elementary Teacher of the Year. I look forward to helping your child grow leaps and bounds in their learning this year!
My Passion
Teaching is truly a passion. My call was inspired by my second grade teacher, Mrs. Lewellen, and since my time in primary school I’ve known that this is the job I would always want to do. My other passion is to help children overcome the many struggles they will face, and develop good character. There isn’t anything more important than building relationships, and this is something I love to do. My hope is that your child will leave my classroom with a surplus of knowledge, good character, and virtue to help them persevere in life.
I own a small business called, The Little Bluebonnet, where I make custom wreaths.

Growing Up Rocha
Hale Center, Texas is where I was born. Growing up in a small town was a joy! My parents were very loving and always made sure I was involved in sports and in band. I grew up with one brother who is three years younger than me. There was never a dull moment in our household and they will be lasting memories for me. I have a sister-in-law and two nieces named Adriana, and Ella whom I love very much! I have a golden-doodle named Tucker, who is eight! He's been a joy to have and definitely steals the show everywhere we go! In addition to family, I like to do many things outside of school. My absolute favorite thing to do is make wreaths. I own a small business named The Little Bluebonnet, and have loved getting to create arrangements for many homes. When I'm not making wreaths, I enjoy attending weekly Mass, exercising, cooking, reading books, walking my dog, watching a good documentary, shopping, and spending time with my nieces. Now I look forward to sharing my life with you this year!
I'm excited to kick off the year! With that said, I am in need of some items to best support my students. Any help would be greatly appreciated. You can view my list here.
