What Class Should I Take?
At Medlin we offer many different classes that fit many different types of theatre lovers!
If you have NEVER taken a theatre course at Medlin, you should take "Intro to Theatre". In this class you will learn all about the basics of theatre, from ensemble building to acting to tech theatre. There are no after school performances for this course. There is no end of show requirement for this class.
If you HAVE taken a theatre course at Medlin, and are interested in continuing your craft and learning all that you can about theatre, you should take "Theatre II/III". This is an in-depth class for students who want to continue to advance their skills. You can take this class up to 2 times at Medlin. You will end the year with a performance! Rehearsals will take place in class, with the show performing outside of class.
If you HAVE taken either Intro to Theatre or Theatre I and want to focus on producing shows (and don't mind spending time outside of school), you may want to take "Theatre Productions". In this class, students will participate in a minimum of 2 shows a year as well as other activities within Medlin. This class is an audition/interview based class only, as students need to have a strong skill set and must be prepared for many hands-on projects.
