My name is Gabriel "Gabe" Berumen and I was raised in the DFW area. This will be my 8th year as an educator and my 6th at Northwest ISD. I currently teach 6th/7th Compacted GT Math and the GT Exploration classes at Leo Adams Middle School. I am also the Team Lead for the 6th Grade Department and the Campus Technology Liaison (CTL) for Adams MS.

My wife, April, is currently a stay-at-home mother caring for our 2 daughters, Avy (7 yo) who is a second grader at Berkshire Elementary and Lila (5 yo) who is a kindergartner at Berkshire. April, was also an educator and taught for over 10 years before transitioning to become an amazing mother! I attended Haltom High School and received my Bachelor degree from the University of Phoenix followed by my Masters degree in Education from Tarleton State University.

I served in the United States Army for 8 years as an Apache Helicopter Mechanic. I deployed to Iraq for 11 months with the Army and also spent 14 months in Afghanistan as a civilian contractor performing skills acquired through my military training.

I am looking forward to meeting all of my students and their family as they begin their journey and establish many new traditions at Adams!!Â
