The purpose of the freshman class meeting is to provide students with information and strategies that are critical to both academic and personal success.


Class Meeting Topics

August 23rd:

        • BNHS Attributes (Learn, Serve, Lead)

        • Attendance and tardies

        • Who to know on campus


August 30th:

        • Teacher, administrator, counselor, staff role and responsibilities to

        • our students

        • Learner role and responsibilities to themselves and others

        • Student celebrations


September 20th - 24th (Small-Group Meetings):

        • Behaviors you can apologize for versus behaviors that require immediate consequences

        • NISD Student Code of Conduct

        • School event etiquette and behavior expectations


September 27th (Zoom Meeting):

        • Graduation requirements

        • Academic pathways

        • Checking and calculating grades

        • Endorsement versus non-endorsement

        • Student celebrations


October 4th (Zoom Meeting):

  • Learning Behaviors that will result in authentic learning and academic growth

  • Student celebrations


October 18th (Zoom Meeting):

  • How are you connecting to the campus?

  • Clubs and other extra-curricular activities
