What We Are Learning

ELA - We will continue reading Tiger Rising and discuss how to read intensely, while utilizing the depth and complexity icons. In writing, we will be planning and writing realistic fiction stories. Students will be adding details and strong leads to their stories. For grammar, we will be reviewing subjects and predicates, and the homophones: two, too and to.

*Flocabulary will be introduced on Monday.

Social Studies- We will be studying the regions of Texas and why they are significant.

Math- We will continue subtraction with regrouping, including across zeros. We will also work on finding elapsed time. This is a great skill to practice at home. *Please make sure your child is reviewing their multiplication facts! We have some games set up in google classroom for them! They can also use Imagine Math Facts. (Site Code - 4833180)

Science- We will finish our studies of matter with a test early in the week. Then we will begin studying mixtures and solutions.

Connected Learning Update

*Weekly newsletter will be posted on Lakeview's app and on Seesaw each Friday. This will contain important information about the next week. We will tell what your child is learning, when tests are, and when things are due.
