HOT OFF THE PRESS

4th grade Math STAAR is on Wednesday (5th grade Math is on Tuesday) and Reading STAAR is on Thursday. We are trying not to stress the students out! Some of them are very anxious about the test. We have told them that they have been taught everything they need and to just do their best!

Please remember to have your child return library books by Friday, May 21st!

SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE YEAR END SURVEY: The Lakeview PTA knows that a strong partnership among our families, school leaders and community members is important to the success of our students and school. That’s why we are participating in the National PTA School of Excellence program, which grows partnerships between PTAs and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being of all students.

We need your help! As part of the process, National PTA requests feedback from families, administrators, and teachers at two points in the school year—the beginning and the end. Your feedback will help us improve our family-school partnership and achieve excellence.

Please take 5-10 minutes to reflect on your experience at this school and complete the survey here. Select the response that most accurately expresses how you feel about your experience. This survey is completely anonymous. The survey will be open through Sunday, May 16th. CLICK HERE TO COMPLETE THE SURVEY.

What We Are Learning

**Please remember that students need headphones EVERY day in class. Some are stating that they have lost or broken theirs.

ELA - We will finish up our book clubs and take the STAAR math and reading tests.

Social Studies- No new content this week due to STAAR.

Math- We will review some big ideas from fourth grade math. STAAR test is Wednesday. We will then preview 5th grade Math! Students can work on Imagine Math at home by going through the NISD portal. They should have 2 lessons completed for the week by Friday.

Science- We will wrap up our year with several fun activities to review science concepts we studied this year.

Connected Learning Update
