THE PURPOSE OF NISD LANGUAGE ACADEMY: The purpose of the bilingual/ESL Language Academy Summer School program is to extend the opportunity for EB students to develop academic language skills in English and their home language, if applicable, and strengthen content knowledge and skills.

WHO CAN ATTEND: The bilingual/ ESL program is offered to prekindergarten and kindergarten EB students who have parental permission to participate in the NISD dual language or ESL program during the current school year.

ESL Newcomer Academy is offered to EB students in 1st-10th grade who are recent arrivals at a beginner/ intermediate language proficiency level.

Enrollment is by invitation only.
