Biosketch

Saurabh is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Devices at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER)-Guwahati, India. Before Joining NIPER-Guwahati, Saurabh served the Centre for Nanoscience and Engineering (CeNSE), Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, as an INSPIRE faculty for ~3 years. After completing his Ph.D. at Delhi Technological University (DTU), Delhi, Saurabh worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the material science and engineering division, KAUST, KSA (May2017-August 2018). Saurabh is a recipient of a commendable research award at DTU, an Overseas postdoctoral awardee (by SERB Delhi), INSPIRE Faculty awardee (DST, Delhi).  His Work has been highlighted on many online platforms like Nature India, Nature Index, etc; Recently His work on MXene-based tattoo sensor got the NRDC Award-National Budding Innovators Award 2020, Highlighted on DST webpage and tweeted by Health Minister etc. His group is working on the fundamentals and applied aspects of sensors that have applications in healthcare.  His research focuses on biosensors, flexible and wearable sensors, 2D nanomaterials, and medical devices.
